Today it's Friday and I have a very special suggestion for you!Your week couldn't finish better, than with a dinner at a very special place, like the Baltho Kueche & Bar!
Most of the people believe that the weekend is the best part of the week, but I think that there is no better time during the week , like going out for dinner after work on Friday evening! So in order to be ready for my weekend, last Friday I choose to have dinner at Baltho Kueche & Bar.
It wasn't the first time that I visited the place, because it is next to my favorite delish Cafe Take- out where I choose have lunch (see my lunch here).I have also been there for the amazing cocktails at the Baltho Bar. Everytime after leaving the Bar , I was thinking that I have to visit the restaurant, so last Friday dinner, it was the best occasion to have a dinner at Baltho Kueche & Bar!
As a normal Friday evening after work, it started with cocktails at the Bar. There is a big list with particular cocktails, so I choose to have the "Walk in the woods" (teeling single malt with apple juice, lemonade & Chestnut syrup) and the signature "Baltho Sour" (Maker's Mark Bourbon,Sanddornmark, Lemonade & Agavensirup).After finishing my first cocktail , it was the time to move to the restaurant for dinner!
First of all, the restaurant is decorated with classy and elegant style and the atmosphere were so cosy and relaxed. So it was exactly what I need, after a such a busy week!
I was totally impressed from what I taste, because every dish was so delicious! I start my dinner with two of the classic starters:
- Bang - Bang Chicken : so crispy chicken with spinach , spring onions, peanuts and ginger
- Steak Tatar : creme fraiche , mesclun, brioche
For the main dish, there were Fish and Meat choices, so I decided to taste one of both of them, and I could definitely say that I was very happy for my super tasty choices! So I taste:
- Boeuf Bourguignon: Braised beef cheek, bone marrow, vegetables and mashed potato.
- Miso Skrei: A seasonal dish with Cod fish , banana ginger relish, misomayo, pak choi and noodles.
A perfect dinner like this, could not finish without tasting 2 of the very special desserts of the Baltho Kueche & Bar. The apple pie with ice cream and a very unique Mille Feuille with saffron mousse and vanilla crumble!
